Rocky’s back at the vet today. His body temp is low and he was vomiting. They’re giving him an IV and monitoring him.

Ah, the days of multiple pets which, in our case, went with multiple kids: hampsters, rats, snakes, lizards, rabbits, dogs. But 12 dogs? Wowza. We had a wild ride with two Dalmations, so a big high five to ya.

Dear Sheba – I know the younger ones are irritating to us older folks. They just don’t know it all, do they? But down girl, and enjoy the Man Cave. Sounds like you’ll have lovin’ company.

Dear Rocky – cuddles, good healing juju and a word to the wise: seniors can be real cranks sometimes. So when you’re reminding them to keep on kicking up their arthritic heels cause the sun’s still shining, keep a safe distance just in case today just ain’t the day for it.

When you have 12 dogs, 2 cats and a BUNCH of farm animals you take these things in stride. But we do feel bad for him. I’m just thankful he’s going to survive it…at least I think he will. Not sure he’s out of the woods yet, but he lifted his leg to pee this morning, so that’s a good sign. He’s getting lots of love and special treatment. Giving him his meds isn’t going to be fun though. Today’s the first day for that.
